The Curious Case of Vanishing Privacy
In general I try to keep politics out of my discussions, but thanks to a post by the lovely Xeni Jardin over at BoingBoing a recent Frontline investigation into acts of spying by our government on everyday, innocent civilians came to my attention. These actions are decidely the opposite of Mirth, but sorely deserve our attention and scrutiny.
I urge everyone to visit the online Frontline report, where you can also watch the full documentary online. It seems in this era of global battle against the ‘terrorists’ that personal privacy, civil liberty and democratic processes are the first casualties of the War on Terror. Still, it’s appalling to find such flagrant violations of the constitution by the Bush administration.
Thank goodness for the EFF!
