BoingBoing reports Ultimate rube goldberg machine
Once again the good folks of BoingBoing have brought our attention to a collection of rube goldberg machine videos scattered across the web. I’ve seen some of these before, but they’re just so mirthful that I’m including a link to the entire list as posted by Cory Doctorow. I think my favorite video is this one. If you watch all three of the videos there at the Baynham & Tyers website you’ll see some items that are common to all three, and it appears that all three are shot at the same location. What an appealing idea for a rainy day - get some duct tape, pieces of silverware, empty bottles and such from the trash, that forgotten alarm clock, the emergency candles you’d been saving for hurricane season (by the way, why isn’t there a cheap butane lighter and some candles in this kit?), lots of string and wire, etc. , etc., and spend the day building a huge contraption of your own. Then put it on the web. Oh, and then get thousands of folks to view it.
Yay. Looks like a chance of rain tomorrow.
